ED takes cognisance of directions issued by Kejriwal to Delhi govt from custody

The federal agency will conduct an investigation to ascertain if these directions from the arrested Chief Minister kejriwal were in line with the special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court's order

This information has been received from official sources that on Sunday, enforcement directorate the statement of Delhi Minister in which he told that Chief Minister Kejriwal has sent instructions to her from the custody of the agency to start the welfare work related to water and sewerage.

Sources said that Federal agency will investigate and find out whether the Chief Minister will be arrested in accordance with the directions of the court or the orders issued during the detention period of Shree Kejiriwal to stop the special  investigation.

Before sending Kejriwal into custody on March 28, the court had allowed his wife Sunita Kejriwal or his personal assistant Bibhav Kumar to meet him only for half an hour  between 6 to 7 pm.

Water Minister Atishi said in a conference on Sunday that Kejriwal had sent him a document to solve the water and sewerage related issue. He was in custody on Saturday. She also said that Chief Minister Kejriwal had also informed his Chief Secretary or other officials in this regard to ensure adequate supply of water

Ed On March 2- 55-year-old Kejriwal was arrested in the money laundering case related to Delhi excise policy after raid his official residence and searching his house.

Chief Minister Kejiriwal is also the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, who has come to an end in a few days, he was questioned about the formulation of Delhi’s output excise policy 2021-22, along with this he was also questioned about his politics, whether it government officers  of the BJP. Statements given by such accused or witnesses.

It is being investigated that the chief minister’s aides or staff used mobile phones and disappeared soon after the policy was scrapped. The Central Bureau of Investigation has also filed separate criminal cases to investigate the alleged crimes.

While the ED has alleged that Mr. Kejriwal is the “kingpin and key conspirator” of the Delhi excise policy “scam”, the Chief Minister and his party have termed the agency’s action against him “political vendetta” by the BJP-led central government.
